Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

A ceramic hand, once used as a mold or form for making gloves. A fading rose from an anniversary bouquet. Combined they make a simple still life.

Images and textures have been layered to create a composite art print of a original photograph.

A still life is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which may be either natural (food, flowers, plants, rocks, or shells) or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, and so on). With origins in the Middle Ages and Ancient Greek and Roman art, still life paintings give the artist more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition than do paintings of other types of subjects such as landscape or portraiture. Still life paintings, particularly before 1700, often contained religious and allegorical symbolism relating to the objects depicted. Some modern still life breaks the two-dimensional barrier and employs three-dimensional mixed media,...

Terry Rowe has a lifetime of experience in the arts. She is a creative exploring photography, graphic design, stitchery, jewelry making, and sculpting. One of the original founders of the Del Ray Artisans in Alexandria, Virginia, she has been actively involved in the arts for over twenty years. She recently retired, after 41 years of service, as the Art Director, House Creative Services, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, U.S. House of Representatives. In her photographs, Terry seeks to capture a moment, to give the viewer a glimpse of place and time that arrests the movement of life and allows one to savor what is there to be seen.
